Our Advice

  • Have and idea of the style you want before you come into the salon. Bring a picture with you; whether it’s a celebrity snap or one of your favourite hair images, it’s a huge help for your hairdresser.
  • It’s imperative you discuss what you do and don’t like with your hairdresser. For example, you may prefer using rollers instead of tongs, or you could be someone who’s nervous when you see long hair getting a trim.
  • Be open to new ideas. It may be that the style that you want isn’t suitable for your hair type. It may be frustrating, but it is often true that not giving you what you ask for is the sign of a good stylist who really cares about the condition of your hair.
  • Make sure you ask about products to suit your hair. The products stylists use are also available to buy and using professional quality products at home will help you look like you’ve just stepped out of the salon.
